Seiry & Gordon have been together for about two years and have been in a long term relationship. Their love for each other is so strong and completely undeniable. They’ve been so excited for their wedding day and I’ll can say the entire day was full of laughter, fun, happy dancing, surprises, and first looks, traditions, and family! The theme was rustic with colors gold champagne and ivory. The bride and groom shared their first kiss EVER on their wedding day which was super sweet The bride and groom surprised their guests with a choreographed dance after their first dance that was a total hit! They also included many cultural traditions such as the ‘Money Dance’ and ‘Vibora de la Mar’ and ‘Jumping the Broom’, they also braided a unity chord into a braid (religious). On the tables the centerpiece consisted of greenery with tall vases with floating candles. Bride’s bouquet the roses were all off white flowers and the bouquet had greenery and the same with the bridesmaids bouquets. They also included photobooth, poopcorn bar and sweets bar.
Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?
For the ceremony we had a mason jar with babys breath inside hanging from a shepherds stick. Also we had aisle signs that said bits and pieces of the Bible verses in 1 Corinthian 13. For the stage we had a cross and a table that had our unity braid on it. There was also a greenery wreath on top that had a “C” (for his last name). I also had drapery. Inside the barn we had gold Chivari chairs with cream tablecloths and greenery as center pieces with high vases with floating candles in them. We made the seating table chart out of wood and staines it and hung the cards with seating arrangements.
How did you meet?
We both served at Passion City Church Conference in January of 2015. They put us in the same group and we ended up being “escalator duty” partners. From there our whole group stayed in touch and somehow him and I became friends and started hanging out. I knew there was something different about him. He was genuine! So from there we fell in love. He proposed in March of 2017 at Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground, GA. He had my best friends “trick” me and say that we were going for their Spring banquet and we got all dressed up and when we get there I’m looking around and notice no one else is dressed up but us. From there is when I started picking up that something was up. We end up at the Japanese Garden where he is standing with the huge gold balloons that spell out “Marry Me?” He was the “A” and my mom, sister, and another friend held the other letters. It was beautiful!!!
Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look?
Honestly I had no idea the style of dress I wanted. And the crazy thing is that I picked my perfect dress within 40 minutes. I had a great helper at the shop and we started eliminating styles and once we figured the style for me she comes with this beautiful lacy dress. I loved every detail about it! With his suit…I knew that I wanted gray so that was pretty simple. Pinterest helped a ton in deciding the color of tux and shoes.
