One Thursday evening he took me to the Greenway trails where we normally run.  Except this particular day was later than our usual running time as I ended up working later than normal and really wasn’t up to the challenge.  However, he was anxious and kept persisting so I agreed.  It was just us two and the one trail light shining on us as we stood on a bridge that overlooked a stream passing below us. We talked and laughed and before I knew it, the conversation turned from our light hearted silliness to a nervous silence.  He then takes my hand and begins to tell me how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and at that moment, he got down on one knee and proposed.  I was completely shocked, in tears and I of course said “yes”.  Right then I realized why he was so anxious to get to the Greenway that night. This place is where we had shared our first kiss and that day marked our 2 year dating anniversary.

Bride’s advice for other brides: The day is about you and your fiancé, so live your truth and celebrate it the way you want. Be creative and let your personality shine!  Attending bridal shows can help get your creative juices flowing and you can even luck up on some pretty good deals.

Groom’s advice for other grooms: YES… OK… That’s fine…   will be your favorite words.   Support and help your bride.   Relax and enjoy your wedding day.

Classic, romance with a little let loose on the end.  We chose our venue of Champagne Manor as we felt this was the perfect backdrop for what we were looking for. I really wanted a romantic feel but I also wanted our wedding day to reflect our personalities as well.  The classic side of me wanted to channel my mothers gown on her wedding day as she wore a form fitting gown with a ballgown detachable train, so when I found a wedding gown that was similar yet modern.. I knew it was meant to be.  I had a vision that constantly changed however the one thing that stayed consistent were candles.  I absolutely love them! I feel candles can stimulate an intimate ambiance and exude warm with intimate romance. So the aisle and our tent were decorated with hundreds of them. The let loose was having fun with our family and friends.  We can’t take ourselves seriously all of the time.
