The Bride Prep and Groom Prep is the best part of the day in my opinion. It is the
time where you are able to meet everyone in the party and establish a
connection. This part of the day is also one of the slowest so it allows you to
mentally process what the day consists of to be prepared.
What advice to give brides when searching for the service
you offer
When hiring a photographer or videographer you want to be sure you connect
with them. One thing that most brides do not realize is that the photographer and
videographer are with you the entire day! From the moment you start your hair to
the moment everyone is giving you hugs good-bye. So, as a bride you really
want to be sure the person you hire can relate to everyone around you and
provide a great 10-12 hour experience.
What advice do you give someone interested in getting in your field in the industry:
Photography and Videography is a great industry. The biggest tips I can give to
someone new is to take pictures, establish ” your look”
, and choose the field you
want to be in. When people are searching for a wedding photographer they are
not searching photographers who have family photos on their website. They are
looking for a photographer who primarily does weddings as they will be the best
in their craft. In regards to finding your look – Try different exposure levels,
angles, etc to find what type of image pleases you. Once you establish your look
you can then showcase it for work. This will then allow future clients to know
what they will be getting when choosing you as a photographer.
